ImageToPrompt (imagetoprompt.dev) is operated by Othmane Ferhan. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our free AI image-to-prompt generator. By using ImageToPrompt, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. ImageToPrompt is designed with a privacy-first approach: we do not require accounts, we do not store your images, and we collect only minimal analytics data.

What Data We Collect

Account and Personal Information

ImageToPrompt does not require account creation or login to use the service. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, by signing up for our optional newsletter).

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address solely for the purpose of sending you the newsletter. We do not share this address with third parties for marketing purposes.

Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics. This data includes:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Device type, operating system, and browser
• Country-level geographic location (not precise location)
• Session duration and user flow
• Referring websites

This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify individual users. It is used solely to understand how our tool is being used and to improve it.

Uploaded Images

• All user-uploaded images are sent directly to the Claude Vision API (provided by Anthropic) for analysis and are immediately discarded after the prompt is generated.
• We do not store, save, cache, or retain any uploaded images on our servers at any point.
• We do not use uploaded images for model training, advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than generating the requested text prompt in real-time.
• Image processing happens entirely in real-time. No copies of your images are made or retained by ImageToPrompt.
• Anthropic (the provider of the Claude API) processes your image as part of the API call. Please refer to Anthropic's Privacy Policy for information on how they handle API data.

Generated Prompts

• Prompt history is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage on your device. It never leaves your device.
• We do not store generated prompts on our servers.
• You can clear your prompt history at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or using the "Clear History" button in the tool.

Cookies

We use cookies only for analytics purposes. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party marketing cookies.

Cookies we use:

• _ga — Google Analytics, used to distinguish users (expires after 2 years)
• _gid — Google Analytics, used to distinguish users (expires after 24 hours)
• _ga_* — Google Analytics 4 session cookie

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use ImageToPrompt.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate ImageToPrompt:

• Anthropic Claude API — processes uploaded images to generate prompts. Anthropic Privacy Policy →

• Upstash Redis — rate limiting (stores only anonymous IP-based request counts, not personal data). Upstash Privacy Policy →

Data Security

• All connections to ImageToPrompt use HTTPS encryption.
• We do not store personal data or uploaded images on our servers.
• Since we do not retain your images or personal data, there is no risk of a data breach exposing your images.
• Rate limiting data (anonymous IP-based request counts) is stored in Upstash Redis and automatically expires after 24 hours.

Children's Privacy

ImageToPrompt is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

Your Rights

• Right to know: This privacy policy describes all data we collect. We collect no personal data beyond what is described here.
• Right to opt out of analytics: You can disable Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by disabling cookies in your browser settings.
• Right to data deletion: Since we don't store your images or personal data, there is generally nothing to delete. If you subscribed to the newsletter and wish to be removed, contact us at the email below.
• Right to access: You may request information about any data we hold about you by contacting us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of ImageToPrompt after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
